Our Story: How We Got Here
When we first launched Nothing But Hemp, the world of cannabis was still largely misunderstood. Instead of just selling products, we took an educational approach. We invested in full-page newspaper ads—not for discounts, but to provide well-researched articles about CBD, its benefits, and how it interacts with the body. We launched a YouTube channel packed with educational content, interviews with our customers, and insights from industry experts. We built long-term relationships with our clients, offering guidance and support on their wellness journeys.
Our founders came from backgrounds in health and nutrition, and it was their deep understanding of holistic wellness that led to the creation of Nothing But Hemp. This commitment to quality and integrity even earned us national recognition in the healthcare industry. From a humble team of three, we have grown into an organization with nearly 70 passionate individuals. But it hasn’t been easy.
We’ve faced incredible challenges along the way. COVID-19 nearly shut us down, but instead of giving up, we innovated. We introduced same-day delivery, ensuring that our customers could continue accessing the wellness products they needed. In 2021, when the government attempted to shut down hemp, we fought back. At the time, we had no idea that our fight for the low-dose THC bill in Minnesota would create a domino effect nationwide, influencing similar legislative changes across the country. We worked closely with lawmakers and played a pivotal role in negotiating the low-dose THC bill that made edibles and beverages legally accessible in Minnesota. Every obstacle we encountered became a stepping stone, pushing us forward.
Today, we’re not just a retailer—we’re a vertically integrated powerhouse. We own 25 brands and manage over 150 SKUs. We operate a botanical manufacturing company, producing our own edibles, mixers, and beverages. Our products are on the shelves of thousands of stores across the country. And while cannabis remains an essential part of our identity, we’ve come to understand that true wellness is bigger than just one plant.
